Description

A study was made on nuclide mobility in soils and plant cover of the zone around the Chernobylsk NPP. It is shown that mobility of 90Sr, which occurs preliminary in ion-exchange form, appears to be higher, than mobility of radiocesium, at the distance of more than 6 km from the damaged reactor; in the immediate vicinity of plant site, 90Sr mobility decrease due to its inclusion into the stable form and approximates the mobility of cesium. Accumulation coefficients for forbs, growing in the region 18 km away from the Chernobylsk NPP, are presented
