Study of interaction of weak gravitational wave with the electromagnetic field of neutron star is carried out from the points of view of two theories: the linear variant of field theory of gravity and the theory of general relativity. The possibilities of solving experimentally the problem which of two theories is adecquate to reality are analysed on the basis of the solutions obtained
