Description

The construction of a CW linear accelerator, to deliver energy at 4 MeV, is described. The use of this Electron Test Accelerator to irradiate sewage is described. Aspects covered are: design and characteristics of the ETA; details of bi-periodic structure showing on-axis couplers; control system for ETA; details of waste water irradiation target chamber; irradiator efficiency; optimization of accelerator; technical status and estimated costs.
