Correlation of charged particles and γ quanta in π-p interactions at 40 GeV/c
- 1. Moskovskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ. (USSR)
Description
The rapidity two-particle correlations are studied for γ ch ans γγ systems in π-p interactions at 40 GeV/c. The results are compared to two-particle correlations in the chch system. The values of R and C functions for γπ- and γπ+ systems are found for the first time. The analysis of the data has shown that short-range positive correlations are observed for the γ ch and γγ systems and the relationship Rsub(ch ch) > Rsub(v ch) is valid. Study of azimuthal correlations has allowed to find the correlations appeared due to identity of particles for γγ and π-π- systems. The obtained results have been fitted by the multiperipheral model and phase-space calculations. The multiperipheral model gives a satisfactory description of the data
