Method of energy functional with pairing in coordinate representation

Description
The method of energy functional of the generalized density matrix in coordinate representation is used to develop a self-consistent approach to description of magic nuclei and, as well, of nuclei with developed pairing. Self-consistent calculations of the binding energies, charge distributions, single-particle spectra, and occupation numbers are carried out for nuclei in the region of 40,48Ca, 90Zr, 116,124Sn, 146Gd, 204,208,212Pb. All these characteristics are shown to be well described in the suggested approach under the assumption of volume pairing at far (∼ εF) cutoff in the energy space
