Enhancement of T cell proliferation and differentiation by 8-mercaptoguanosine
Description
This paper investigates the potential effects of 8MGuo on T cell activity. The IL-2 dependent murine cell line cTLL was cultured from mice for 24 hrs and filter disks were transferred to plastic scintillation vials, covered with liquid scintillation cocktail, and counted in a liquid scintillation counter. Tritium-TdR/well was added after 24 hours of incubation. Data obtained demonstrate that the c8-substituted guanine ribonucleoside 8MGuo augments proliferation and differentiation of murine T cells only in the presence of other stimulatory signals
