Testing of 4π β-γ coincidence equipment at very high activities

Description

The analysis was performed of corrections for dead time and false coincidence which had been used in calculating activities in the 4π β-γ coincidence method. In the correction analysis the Monte Carlo method was used facilitating to clear up probable inaccuracies of the used corrections. It was shown experimentally that using the equipment described specimens cannot be measured with activities exceeding 104 Bq owing to the incorrect function of the single-channel analyzer in the gamma channel at high activities.
