Long-term oxidation of selected alloys in superheated steam at 482 and 5380C
Description
The oxidation of several Cr-Mo steels and austenitic materials in superheated steam at 482 and 5380C (900 and 10000F) is studied. The investigation was conducted in a once-through loop that received steam from the superheater circuit of the Bartow Power Plant of the Florida Power Corporation. This report presents the results from this investigation, which was terminated after 28,339 h when the mode of power plant operation was changed from baseload to peaking
