Angiographic problems in angiomyolipoma of the kidney

Description

3 cases of unilateral angiomyolipoma of the kidney are presented. Angiography was unsuccesful in diagnosing angiomyolipoma in these cases observed by us. The diagnostic problems of the angiomyolipoma are discussed on the basis of histologic and angiographic findings. No patient showed simultaneously tuberous sclerosis. (orig.)

Abstract (German)

Es wird ueber drei Beobachtungen mit einem unilateralen Angiomyolipom (AML) der Niere berichtet. In keinem der beobachteten Faelle konnte die Diagnose angiographisch gestellt werden. Anhand der histologischen und angiographischen Befunde werden die diagnostischen Probleme beim AML diskutiert. Bei keinem Patienten lag gleichzeitig eine tuberoese Sklerose vor. (orig.)
