Spectral line shapes
- 1. Texas Univ., Austin, TX (USA)
Description
These Proceedings contain the full-length texts for the 26 invited presentations and abstracts for the 90 contributed papers. Most studies of line shapes in ionized media are included in Chapters 1 and 2. These are followed by studies of atomic spectra broadened by neutral collisions, Chapter 3. The rather novel physics of the line shapes of ultracold atoms is contained in Chapter 4. Special topics of redistribution and the closely related photo-assisted collisions follow as Chapters 5 and 6. Applications of laser spectroscopy to study reaction dynamics are collected in Chapter 7. Nonlinear optical processes and coherence studies are contained in Chapter 8. Papers describing the spectral line shapes of molecules in collisional interaction in neutral environments are presented in Chapter 9 (Broadening) and Chapters 11 and 12 (Collision Induced Absorption and Light Scattering, respectively). Closely related studies of dimers and excimers are collected in Chapter 10. Finally, some applications to atmospheric and astrophysics are presented in Chapter 13
