Analysis of the 6 MeV proton scattering on 34S

Description

Analysis of experimental data on elastic and inelastic scattering of protons with 6 MeV energies on 34S nucleus has been carried out. The principel aim of the analysis is to determine optimum values of optical potential (OP) parameters including the parameter of potential eformation and to establish limits of the change of these values depending on the application of different analysis method and used calculation programs. Analysis of cross sections is carried out using the standard method in the framework of optical model (OM) and also methods of distorted waves (DWM) and coupled channels (CCM) applying the folding model (FM). Values of optimum OP parameters obtained from the analysis of cross sections calculated using all the above models are tabulated. Optimum value of the OP real part Psub(v) in calculations using DWM coincides with Psub(v) calculated from OM+DWM and standard value in the range of 15%. Optimum value of the OP imaginary part Psub(w) in calculations performed using the CCM decreases more than 1.5 times as compared to Psub(w) calculated using OM+DWM. Values of deformation potential parameter β2 calculated using three different programs of CCM agree in the range of +-10%. Mean value of β2 calculated with FM exceeds a 1.4 times mean value of β2 calculated by the CCM. Real differences exceeding limits of the β2 error are found out only between β2(DWM) and β2(CCM)
