Large-scale microwave-background anisotropy in unstable-particle cosmologies

Description
The large-scale temperature anisotropy DeltaT/T that would be induced in the cosmic background radiation by initially flat-spectrum adiabatic perturbations in a flat Friedmann universe containing massive but unstable particles will have a multipole structure quite different from what is predicted by the cold-particle and standard neutrino models. Experimental upper limits on DeltaT/T for 6-180 deg angular scales constrain the era of neutrino (or gravitino) decay to redshifts less than 3-4. 28 references
