On the thermal neutron albedo determination in pulse experiments

Description

The problem of determining the albedo in pulse experiments is considered in the general case of a moderator containing a finite cavity. Depending on the quasiexponential attenuation constant which can be experimentally determined, an expression has been derived for the albedo function on the inner surface of the moderator in the form of a power series. The numerically computed functions of albedo versus attenuation constant are shown for the special case of a moderator with cylindrical cavity. (authors)
