Studies of TMDs with CLAS and CLAS12
Description
In recent years transverse momentum dependent parton distributions and fragmentation functions have been generalized to account for transverse degrees of freedom of quarks inside the nucleon. They offer novel views on QCD dynamics inside hadrons and help to increase our understanding of the intriguing transverse momentum and spin of hadrons. An overview of ongoing TMDs studies in Hall B at Jefferson Lab is given.
