Analysis of the published value of radioactivity of SPM in the atmosphere in Miyagi

  • 1. Environmental Radioactivity Research Institute of Miyagi, Sendai, Miyagi (Japan)

Description

Using the radioactivity data of atmospheric SPM in Miyagi Prefecture after the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station accident published by the Ministry of the Environment and the Nuclear Regulation Authority, the authors evaluated the respiratory exposure dose for adults. Even at the site where the Cs-137 concentration was the highest, the committed effective dose for the period of March 13~23, 2011 was about 0.01 mSv in total for Cs-137 and -134, which is a smaller value compared with 1 mSv as the annual dose limit for the general public. Abstract (Japanese)
