Observations of the 5C 1-5 survey areas at 1421 MHz

  • 1. Mullard Radio Astronomy Observatory, Cambridge (UK). Cavendish Lab.

Description

1421-MHz data for sources in the first five 5C catalogues are presented. The data shows that there are systematic errors in some of the original 5C positions and 1407-MHz flux densities and also that the mean spectral index sources with S1421 <200 mJy is greater than that of stronger sources.
