Technique for positron lifetime spectra processing by means of a computer

Description
A technique for positron lifetime spectra processing by means of a computer on standard sample basis is described. The method software permitting a reliable control of intermediate spectra processing stages, when studying metals by means of positrons, is presented. The processing technique includes: calibration of spectrometer time scale, determination of the background annihilation parameters, separation of similar components. Using the developed technique τ=240 ps component of a spectrum with positron average lifetime value of 140 ps on the spectrometer with time 340 ps resolution is pointed out
