Optical potential for description of proton scattering on sup(26)Mg in the low and mean energy range

Description

Elastic scattering (ES) of protons by 26Mg in the energy range Esub(P) < or approximately 10 MeV was investigated to determine optical potential (OP) parameters and to study their energy dependence. The following problems are solved: determination of average OP parameters for describing potential proton scattering by 26Mg in the range Esub(P) > 10 MeV for extrapolating these parametres to the range Esub(P) < 10 MeV, check of these parameters applicability for describibng ES cross sections, comparison of total reaction cross sections calculated according to optical model with experimental values. It is concluded that for the low and average energy range (Esub(P) < or approximetely 7.5 MeV) for describing potential proton scattering by sup(26)Mg OP parameters found by Creenlees, Pyle, Tang can be used, and values of imaginary potential of surface absorption Wsub(D)(Esub(P)) can be taken in accordance with those determined in the present paper
