Milestones in Finnish ore dressing technology

This article primarily reviews the most important developments--the milestones--in the evolution of Finnish ore dressing practice. The secondary purpose is to try to relate these developments to the common knowledge and practice of the time. In most cases, the Finnish ore deposits available for processing have been small and low grade. The few big deposits located have seldom proved rich but almost always risky; furthermore there were no really comparable ores worked in other countries to serve as models.
