Equipment for radiography in Yugoslavia-security and radiation protection

Nondestructive method of material control by using radioisotopes is developed in Yugoslavia. This method of quality control is professionally performed by 28 firms. This paper presents the overview of the equipment used in the industrial radiography by using radioisotopes. Special attention was devoted to the personnel around the working place. In general it could be concluded that the main drawback which influences the security is the fact that most cases old and whom out equipment is in use. Other factors influencing the security are also discussed. (author)
