The Elastic Properties of A Bicrystal Deformed By Misfit Dislocations Parallel to The Free Surface of Thin Foil
Description
The elastic properties of dislocations that would include the free surfaces of a thin foil deposited on a substrate would be beneficial to the interpretation of transmission electron microscopy (TEM) images. In this study particular limiting boundary conditions have been investigated because the elasticity problem is too difficult in the general case. The elastic stress fields associated with misfit dislocations parallel to the free surfaces of a bicrystal were investigated when the bicrystal formed by two different isotropic media. The results corresponding to the isotropic case are similar almost in a perfect way to those of the anisotropic cases
