Description

Compound [UO2(C5H12N2O)5](ClO4)2 is synthesized and characterized by thermogravimetry, IR spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic crystal system; a = 15.2985(9) A, b = 26.9676(15) A, c = 20.6962(11) A, β = 100.697(1)o, space group P21/c, Z = 8, and R = 0.0445. Discrete [UO2(C5H12N2O)5]2+ groups belonging to the AM51crystal chemical group of uranyl complexes (A = UO22+ and M1=C5H12N2O) are uranium-containing structural units of the crystals.
