Feasibility investment evaluation of yellow cake plant from uranium as side product of phosphoric acid plant at basic design stage

Description

The feasibility investment evaluation at establishment of yellow cake plant having capacity 66,182 ton U3O8/year has been conducted. From selection of parameters that have been calculated using the program profitability analysis xls 1.1 program, is concluded that: payback period capital is 3.76 years; return on investment (ROI) is 18.9 %; rentability of the project is good enough at the economical price of US $ 205/kg U3O8, and generate income from the third year (2022 Th) of US $ 2,693,400 and accumulated profits after the year 20th is US $ 145.069.10; net present value (NPV) at 15 % cost of capital shows the positive value of US $ 1,260,700; internal rate of return (IRR) is 15.58 %; profitability index value > 1 that is equal to 1.288 indicating that the plant is still exciting to be built; benefit cost ratio (BCR) value > 1 that is 1,618 which indicates that the plant will provide benefits and feasible to be built. In addition, to set up the yellow cake plant from uranium as side product of phosphoric acid plant requires that a total permanent investment is equal to US $ 32,035,000; working capital is equal to US $ 2,052,700; and the production cost is equal to US $ 7,463,993 / year.
