Description
A very simple variational procedure is developed for obtaining quite accurate analytical expressions for the eigenvalues of quantum mechanical models. It consists of finding the minimum value of a properly built functional form for the energy in the phase space. The method enables one to make use of available information about the analytic structure of the eigenenergies. Results are shown for the linear confining potential model. (author)
