Effect of fields of an unipolar induction on particle motion in Saturn rings

Description

Consideration is being given to the effect of unipolar induction electric fields on the orbital motion of particles in the Saturn rings, their orientation and interaction. It is shown that electric forces prevail over gravitational ones for the particles of some micron size. At that the electric forces affect the rotation period, orientation of particles and their interaction. Oblong particles tend to align along the radius-vector of the orbit; besides radially oriented chains, composed of some tens of conglomerate particles, can occur. At the same time the electric forces prevent the formation of chains, stretched along the orbit
