Phase equilibria in the system LaPO4-Ba3(PO4)2-Ba2P2O7
Description
The ternary system LaPO4-Ba3(PO4)2-Ba2P2O7 has been examined by differential thermal analysis, X-ray powder diffraction and microscopy in reflected light and its phase diagrams is given. The system contains only one double phosphate which is formed at 1:1 molar ratio LaPO4:Ba3(PO4)2, i.e. Ba3La(PO4)3. Two systems LaPO4-Ba2P2O7 and Ba3La(PO4)3-Ba2P2O7 have been found to occur in the composition range under investigation. Their phase diagrams have been determined. (author). 6 refs, 3 figs
