Modification of polycrystalline tin dioxide at irradiation by high power ion beam of nanosecond duration

Description

Features of surface morphology and structural-phase transformations of tin dioxide at irradiation by high power ion beam (HPIB) of nanosecond duration was investigated. The formation of particles of the tetragonal SnO was founded on surface SnO2. The growth of these particles is associated with back deposition of SnO vapor, formed at the heating of SnO2 by HPIB. The possible mechanisms of modification of the surface morphology and transformation SnO2 to SnO was considered. (authors)
