Description
General conditions for minimum emittance double bend achromat, single dipole minimum emittance, and the three bend achromat lattices are derived. A condition for the minimum emittance three bend (or multi-bend) achromat lattice is derived. The condition shows that the minimum emittance achievable is the same as that of the double bend achromat. copyright 1996 American Institute of Physics
