Electronegativity and molecular geometry. II. The concept of a free relaxing molecule and assessment of its geometry on the basis of the electrostatic approach

Description

The concept of a free relaxing molecule (FRM) was introduced during the development of a method for the description of the stereochemical structure of molecules on the basis of electrostatic theories. Postulates and rules which make it possible to assess the bond lengths and bond angles in the FRM from the electronegativities of the atoms are proposed. The relationships formulated for the FRM were demonstrated for the case of specific organic molecules
