Altitude localization of a source of short-period terminator ionospheric disturbances

On the ground of the analysis of the theoretical results and of the experimental data it is shown that the lower atmosphere from where the generated and intensified there terminator waves of the respective frequency propagate into the upper layer with the modulating effect, plays the main role in the formation of ascending-descending wave variations of the ionosphere parameters with ≤ 5 min periods. 10 refs
