Many-body theory of electron-nucleus scattering
Creators
Description
We provide a brief overview of the many-body theory of electron-nucleus scattering at medium (∼ 200 MeV) and higher energies. The topics include energy-momentum distribution of nucleons bound in nuclei, de Forest approximation for the electromagnetic tensor of bound nucleons, final state interaction, effects, pair currents, proton knockout reactions, nuclear transparency and inclusive scattering. We also review a recent effort to describe deep inelastic scattering within the framework of many-body theory
