On free convection at a fuel element

Creators

Description

The fraction of free convection in heat removal during transportation of spent fuel elements is of interest for heat and safety technology. Temperatures and local heat fluxes on the surface of electrically heated models were measured for fuel assemblies consisting of concentric tubes. Free convection is of interest at the outer surface and in the annular gap in vertical and supported horizontal positions. (author)
