Research on diagnosis method of core melt relocation under IVR condition

Description

Base on the dedicated detection instrument of HPR1000 IVR system, the feasibility and detailed method of core melt relocation status diagnosis are studied in the present work. Severe accident scenario analysis of large LOCA, SBO and etc. are performed, which indicated a obvious increasing of RPV outer surface temperature occurs when core melt relocated to lower head, and the temperature increasing amplitude could achieve 150℃ to 200℃. The diagnosis criteria for core melt relocation status are proposed based on the results. Under IVR condition, when the RPV outer surface temperature obviously increases, the core melt relocation status can be confirmed. (authors)
