Description
This paper evaluates the applicability of RELAP5 reflood models for the narrow channel based on the Saxena experiment. The calculated results show that RELAP5 overestimates the quench front velocity and underestimates the wall temperature. Combined the post-DNB thermal-hydraulic characteristics in the narrow channel, the interphase drag, single vapor, film boiling and critical heat flux model were modified. The calculated results based on the new reflood model agree better with the Saxena experiment. (authors)
