Posterior mediastinal mass in a black patient with back pain

Description
A diagnosis of tuberculosis spondylitis with paravertebral abscess was made in a 32-year-old black African man, living in Spain for the past month. A posteroanterior chest film obtained at admission showed an apparent right hilar mass with sharp margins. The most striking abnormality was present on the tomogram of the spine
