Lung inhalation scintigraphy with labelled aerosols: a first impression
- 1. Gemeenteziekenhuis, Dordrecht (Netherlands)
Description
A pilot study is described of a medical aerosol generator which was recently put on the market. The usability of both apparatus and produced aerosol are tested on different patients. The inhalation scintiscans are compared with X-radiographs and perfusion scans. The composition and preparation of the radiopharmaceutical is described, and the use of different tracers is discussed. Both dry and wet radiolabelled aerosol nebulae can be generated and their application is discussed. (Auth.)
