Search for neutral pions from the spontaneous fission of 252Cf

Description
A search for π0's arising from the spontaneous fission of 252Cf using the LAMPF π0 spectrometer has yielded no evidence for this process. We obtain an upper limit of 1.4x10-11 with a 90% confidence level for the branching ratio of π0's produced at rest in the spontaneous fission of 252Cf
