Temperature effects in the dynamics of a centre with nearly degenerate levels and localized phase transition

Description
The dynamics of a centre with two close electronic levels, mixed by the active quasi-molecular vibration mode, at the thermal equilibrium distribution of the two electrons of the system is considered. It is shown that here the local structural phase transition is possible. At the corresponding temperature the soft resonance present in the system condenses at zero frequency and width. (author)
