Description
Basing on general aspects of the connection between high-pressure physics and geosciences or planetology respectively, model assumptions for formation and evolution are presented for terrestrial as well as giant planets. Regarding observational results and knowledge about the behaviour of various planetary materials starting from the present structure possible evolutionary scenarios may be constructed. (author)
