Cosmic magnetic spectrometer

Description

The invention refers to experimental methods of cosmic ray physics. The invention is aimed at reducing the spectrometer mass with the preservation of magnetic induction value in the operating space. The cosmic magetic spectrometer consists of a hodoscopic recording system and magnetic system of charged particle deviation, containing two magnetic circuits, four magnets in the form of parallelepipeds and two pole pieces in the form of isosceles triangle prisms. The operating space is located between the pole piece faces with permanent magnets being located on the lateral ones. The magnets are produced of the material with the magnetic field energy volumetric density of no less than 30 kJ/m3. 1 ref.; 2 figs
