Description
The present work has been carried out in Shahpur region of Gulbarga district of North Karnataka, India. The base line radioactivity data of this region has not been done till today. Hence, the measurement of radiation level of this region is essential to assess the natural radioactivity of nuclides and man made radiation. In view of this, a detailed study has been undertaken to measure the activity of soil samples in this area for future assessment of the impact due to various industries
