Description
High-energy hadronic inelastic scattering is considered as initiated by the coherent interaction of gluons in a quark sea. Total cross sections can grow as (ln s), due entirely to a (ln s) growth of the effective interaction area which is inversely related to an effective gluon mass in the quark medium. (orig.)
