Proton irradiation induced electrodischarging fracture

Description

It was found that under 30...100 MeV proton irradiation of optical glasses the electric break-down of accumulated charge in the shape of Lichtenberg's figures at the end of protons ranges took place. The critical break-down proton fluency is of the order of 1013 cm-2 and practically does not depend on protons energy in 30...100 MeV range
