Technological progress and climate
Description
Assessments are made as to how mankind could effectively and safely control the earth's climate, thought to be endangered by the rapidly increasing fossil fuel- and deforestation-derived atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide. Observations are made on the problematics of formulating reliable climate models to predict greenhouse effects on global average and regional ambient temperatures, as well as, on overall weather patterns and sea level. The paper also cites the importance and difficulty of taking into consideration forthcoming changes, as a result of innovative technology and evolving social behaviour, in global trends with regard to agriculture and diet
