Installation and testing of the 150keV high current pulsed accelerator installed at the Service de Physique Nucleaire in Bruyeres-le-Chatel
Description
A 150keV accelerator installed at the Service de Physique Nucleaires in Bruyeres-le-Chatel is described which has been equipped especially for the preparation of the nuclear experiments carried out with the EN 7MV tandem Van de Graaff, and for the completion of totally independent experiments. Details of the ion optical arrangement and the pulsing system are presented; unanalysed beams of intensity 1 to 2mA are obtained accelerating either protons or deuterons. In the pulsed mode, at 1.25 MHz or 2.5MHz, the average intensity of the analysed beam is 8 to 10μA and the pulse length is 2ns

On decrit un accelerateur de 150keV installe au Service de Physique Nucleaire a Bruyeres-le-Chatel qui a ete equipe specialement pour la preparation des experiences effectuees avec le Van de Graaff tandem EN 7MV ou pour des travaux independants. On presente l'optique ionique et le systeme de pulsation. On obtient des faisceaux de 1 a 2mA de protons ou deuterons. En regime pulse a 1,25MHz ou 2,5MHz le courant moyen sur la cible est de 8 a 10μA et la largeur des bouffees de 2 nanosecondesFiles
