Helium thermal conductivity within the temperature range from 300 to 6000 K

  • 1. Moskovskij Aviatsionnyj Inst. (USSR)

Description

Experimental data on helium thermal conductivity are analyzed for T=30-6000 K at atmospheric pressure. It is established that within the above temperature range the relation between helium thermal conductivity lambda and temperature T can be described by the powerlaw equation lambda=0.152(T/300)sup(0.71) with lambda thermal conductivity (Wxm-1K-1), T, temperature (K). The possible error in estimate of thermal conductivity by the above equation equals 3% up to T=2500 K and 5% at T>2500 K
