Understanding baryons through chiral perturbation theory
Description
Chiral perturbation theory is an extremely powerful effective theory of QCD for probing the behavior of baryons. The theory is presented, and it is shown how some of the parameters may be determined. The technique is applied to find a weak vertex involved in the decay of hypernuclei. (author)
