ECG-gated blood pool scintigraphy: A new real-time method of data acquisition

In recent years methods of nuclear medicine such as gated blood pool studies have taken an important place in the evalution of heart failure. Usually the data acquisition is practised in the list or frame modes. A new method of data processing allows to combine the advantages of both methods. First results in patients with cardiac irregularity are described. (orig.)

Abstract (German)

Nuklearmedizinische Untersuchungstechniken, wie z.B. gated blood pool studies, haben in den letzten Jahren einen festen Platz in der routinemaessigen Herzdiagnostik erhalten. Die Datenaufnahme erfolgt zumeist im List Mode oder Frame Mode. Es werden Vorzuege und Nachteile beider Methoden gegenuebergestellt. Durch eine neue Methode der Datenverarbeitung gelingt es, die Vorteile beider Verfahren in guenstiger Weise zu kombinieren. Die Praktikabilitaet wird anhand einiger klinischer Beispiele demonstriert.
