On the calculation of mass transfer in sodium cooled heat tubes
Description
On the basis of the known theoretical and experimental data on structural material solubility in liquid sodium, as well as physical peculiarities of heat tube operation, the methods for the calculation of mass transfer of sodium dissolved components of vessel materials and capillary-porous structure are developed. It has been shown for the first time that the dissolving of structural materials and their deposition take place irregularly over the length of the heat tube. It is found, that with heat tube capacity increase the cross section with the maximum amount of deposited masses shifts to the evaporation zone start. It is shown, that dissolution rate of structural materials in condensor zone of the heat tube increases along the direction of liquid sodium motion in it. Calculation results of sodium heat tube operation life are presented and its dependence on the flow rate transferred by the tube is shown
