Self-healing performance of fiber varied types and compositions reinforced high density concrete

Description

With a focus on the crack self-healing performance of heavy concrete used for radioactive material containing vessels, the authors conducted research on the self-healing performance when the type and mixing amount of reinforcing fibers were changed. Within the scope of this study, the self-healing performance was improved when reinforcing fibers were mixed, and the self-healing performance was different depending on the characteristic values of the reinforcing fibers. However, increasing the mixing amount was not always effective. It is considered that the effects of mixing the reinforcing fibers are in promoting self-healing at an early stage, reducing the crack width and water permeability, promoting the adhesion of calcite, which is a subsequent cement hydrate, and thus enhancing the self-healing performance. Abstract (Japanese)

放射性物質格納容器に用いる重量コンクリートのひび割れ自己治癒性能に着目し,補強繊維の種類と混入量を変化させた場合の自己治癒性能に関する研究を行った。今回の研究の範囲内では,補強繊維を混入すると自己治癒性能は高まる結果が得られ,補強繊維の特性値によって自己治癒性能に差が見られた。しかし,その混入量を増やしても必ずしも効果的ではなかった。補強繊維の混入の効果は,早期に自己治癒を促し,ひび割れ幅と透水速度を少なくした上で,その後のセメント水和物であるカルサイトの付着を促して自己治癒性能を高めるものと考えられる。(著者)
